Do you have a list of stores, associates or distributors around the country that you would like to refer to in your web site? Sure, you could present lists by state. But what about someone who lives in Kansas City, MO, for example. The closest location might actually be just across the state line, in Kansas. What if you live in New York City? Then you have to search three different states to make sure you covered your local region.

Unfortunately, searching by state only works if you are located near the center of the state and only if there are plenty of locations near you.
